È cresciuto in mezzo a pittori, pennelli, tele e cavalletti. A tre anni poteva already drawing compositions with complex and multiple figures illustrating his fantasies and feelings.
In 1980, Michael and his family moved to Germany. This new place made a great impression on the young artist. The museums and castles, ancient streets and the wonderful landscapes of southern Germany called it permanently tastes and predilections of Michael. Always interested in history and literature, Michael was also absorbed by the music. He put up a band with which he dedicated to rock 'n' roll for years. He composed songs and wrote poems.
After graduation and having served the Soviet army, he went to Michael Nebit-Dag, a city of Turkmenistan in the middle of the Kara-Kum desert, near the Iranian border.
Society for Art of Imagination (London, UK) e partecipa alle esposizioni annuali europee promosse dall'associazione.

La realtà dei miei quadri proviene dalle sensazioni e dalle situations expressed on the canvas. My characters live the same sentiments that would be sourced in real life. Often we do not pay attention to these feelings regarded as normal. Art allows us to observe the common trivial situations of our daily lives and discover a whole universe of dramas and comedies shared by all humanity. The elements of unreality are the tools that use the arts to attract viewers making unusual and memorable works. Every artist has its own language, a unique collection of symbols and meaning. This is mine. Welcome to the unreal world of the 'Absurd'.
What is a true vision and as born in the mind of an artist? This is
a mystery! I do not think there is a man who can explain in a simple way the mechanism of inspiration. It is beyond comprehension. I just thought, an idea. Sometimes it comes after long hours of work, contemplation, reading or watching a play. But it is always like a flash. Instantly see a clear picture. Pass an eternity from now until the picture is completed, after several trial and error needed to find the correct construction of the composition and color relationships. But in most cases it is practical and professional skills. More important is the idea, the moment of inspiration that you perceive every time he comes.
In your art is more predominant truth or beauty?
art remains art. For me, this concept has always been associated first with the beauty. But a good part simply is not interesting. Is a surface, an envelope, a feast for the eyes. I think we need to have something inside. The most profound, the most interesting for the artist who creates the framework for the viewer to see the final result. To combine beauty and truth, the artist must find the balance on a very thin edge. This balance is not easy for me to achieve and takes time to perfect because the issues and themes that my work does not often deal with having to do with the concept of beauty.
Your works seem a narrative history of some absurd and fantastic. Is there a link between your art and a certain kind of literature?
Yes, you're right. There is a literary approach in my paintings. I always liked to read. However, my paintings do not illustrate any particular book. Very often my work is the quintessence of one or more books. I'm not going to illustrate the goal. It is much more important to show my point of view on issues discussed in the book. Speaking of books I love, I must say that over the last twelve years have not been very interested in fiction. I prefer the philosophy, essays and historical works. They are especially concerned alla storia alternativa.
Quale spazio è riservato all'Arte Visionaria nel mercato attuale?
Purtroppo non un grande spazio. È difficile judge without reference to statistics on the number of galleries around the world dedicated to a particular style, and the amount of money put into circulation by a particular style or genre. I do not know if there is any such investigation. I can only speak of New York and what I could see with my own eyes. The visionary and surrealist art really does have a small gap in the market. Incredibly small! Among the most popular galleries only know the CFM Gallery in Soho. But this gallery is a very small number of the most renowned artists.
What you propose to cause feelings of your audience?
The feeling of co-creation - this is the most important. The viewer should not treat the art in the same way television. Should think, feel and tune with the artistic process with the artist. Only in this way will feel part of the art instead of living separately from it. I think this is very important in all forms of art.
Do you think art can still have power and influence in the world today?
It's hard to say. There have been times when poets and artists, writers and musicians were the masters of thought and instructors souls. I do not want to criticize this, but it seems that today's consumer-centric company has turned the art into a common product and impose their wishes to the artist. I sincerely hope to be wrong in my diagnosis, but it seems that word "market" is strongly linked with the word "Art".
